I was planning on training for a 5K PR but I haven't really been running consistently. I have been going out every once in a while to run or bike and doing PiYo more regularly than that.
But now two different people have asked me to run the Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon with them. So now I am seriously considering it! I don't have that much time (6 weeks) to get back into long distances, but I think I can do it. When I was training for Jamestown, I was really only doing my long run on the weekend, plus one or two 1-4 mile runs during the week. That isn't that much! It doesn't take too much time during the week, which is when I am super busy. I can take 1-2 hours from my weekend to run a long run.
Let's do it!
Time to go buy those new running shoes I have been talking about, a new fuel belt and get out running more often. Plus registration....There goes $250!
