Throughout the spring I was hell bent on getting good at the headstand! It was something I practiced almost daily, but was actually really afraid of! I would try and try, but was always afraid of flipping over. So I started next to the couch, so I couldn't flip over and would just hit the couch instead. One day I ventured outside to headstand. No couch to save me anymore! And I flipped over. It was scary at first, but nothing too traumatic happened. Amazing! I was no longer afraid to flip over, so I tried and tried some more. I figured out little tricks that helped me get my legs up, but still my longest headstand probably lasted 4 seconds before I fell.
Looking at my final headstand it might look like I am awful at them! I mean I am not great, but I improved a HUGE amount. I didn't give up and I overcame FEAR. That's what is important. Keep trying and keep improving.
Now watch me fall from a headstand over and over :)
Hi, I'm Jessie!
I live in NH with my husband and our pups. My favorite things are coaching Girls on the Run, eating good food that I didn't have to cook, helping other people work on their health, volunteering for and running races, watching tv, doing yoga, and spending too much time on social media. #Balance
