On May 2nd I drove about 2 hours on a Saturday morning to go to my first group instructor certification. I was excited and nervous, not really sure what to expect because I have never been an instructor before.
After a full day of learning and practicing, I was a certified PiYo Instructor!
It was actually really hard for me to practice in a room full of other people counting out beats and cueing, so I felt liked I needed to practice a lot on my own. I practiced a ton by myself at home and have held one practice class (so far).
I'm really excited to start teaching real classes, but am going to hold a few more free practice classes before I officially start at a studio.
If you are in Southern New Hampshire or Northern Massachusetts and want to join me for a class comment or send me an email! I'd love to have you!
Not sure what PiYo is?
PiYo is a strength training class made up of all body weight exercises. There are no weights, bands or any equipment. You stretch and and strengthen with traditional body weight exercises like squats and lunges and moves that are yoga and Pilates inspired like warrior poses, sun salutations, leg lifts and downward facing dog. We don't hold any poses for long. So get ready to move and sweat!
Hi, I'm Jessie!
I live in NH with my husband and our pups. My favorite things are coaching Girls on the Run, eating good food that I didn't have to cook, helping other people work on their health, volunteering for and running races, watching tv, doing yoga, and spending too much time on social media. #Balance
