Cinco de Miles 5K is a part of the Millennium Running Series that I am doing. Last year I registered for this race but didn't end up going because I was sick. There was no way I was going to be a no show two years in a row! The day before the race I got certified to teach PiYo Live then went straight to bib pick up. I was pretty tired and a little sore the day of the race since I did about 1,000 squats at my certification!
It was a nice and warm day, beautiful for the hanging out after the race, but a little hot while running! This was the first really warm day. It was like we went straight from winter running to summer. I looked like they added a second water stop for us the day of since it was so warm out, which was greatly appreciated!
Cinco de Miles 5K
NH Sportsplex, Bedford NH
Parking: I found parking easily at the business next door to the NH Sportsplex. It seemed like there were plenty of places nearby to park.
Registration/Timing: I picked up my bib the day before the race. I have never gone to a Millennium Running early bib pick up. I was surprised that it wasn't really busy since their races have a ton of runners. I was in and out and on my way :)
Millennium Running and their beloved Results Tent/Trailer where they show the results on a TV monitor <3. You tell the volunteer your bib number, they type it into a computer and your official results come up on the screen. FAV
Facilities: TONS of porta-potties lined up for the runners and spectators. Very well prepared.
Course: This course was an out and back. There were 2 water stops, which is unusual for a 5K, but good thing because it was HOT out!
Swag: AMAZING SWAG. See below:
Overall Review: The course wasn't anything that special, but the shirt is awesome, it is part of the series and I had a great experience this year. There is so much stuff available post-race, which is always fun! Did I mention the Dos Equis guy was there? (aka The Most Interesting Man in the World) There was pizza and beer and margaritas!
Will I Return? Definitely! (Mostly due to the race shirt and that it is part of the Millennium Series.)

Hi, I'm Jessie!
I live in NH with my husband and our pups. My favorite things are coaching Girls on the Run, eating good food that I didn't have to cook, helping other people work on their health, volunteering for and running races, watching tv, doing yoga, and spending too much time on social media. #Balance
