I almost forgot to write this! whoops!
Monday: My birthday! 24 years young. I was at Monday Run Day at Flatbread Hampton where I ran 2 miles...it was hot! This summer thing is really killing me! I am missing running in the snow!
Tuesday: I did a very weird work out on Tuesday. First I was doing headstands and I am no longer afraid to flip over! So instead of falling back the way I went up I now totally flip over...I guess it's good that I'm not afraid though! (I also learned that almost all of my friends can do headstands and it's not that impressive...sad.)
After I did a bunch of headstands I went to the playground and did the monkey bars a few times and some pull ups on them. (That's for my training to be on American Ninja Warrior.)
Andddd then I ran a mile - my fastest mile ever! I really wanted to break into 7s and I just barely did it! 7:59 is my new 1 mile PR.
Wednesday: Sure, friend, I will start doing P90X3 with you! First important step: taking Before pictures (I insisted on this). Then do these super fun exercise videos. We started with Total Synergistics. I didn't think it was that hard so I was very confident and thinking this is no problem!
Thursday: Rest Day!
Friday: Day 2 of P90X3. We did Cardio Vascular Extreme (CVX). Death. on a stick. Seriously this video was 1 million times harder than the first day. We didn't even last the whole video.
Saturday: This was the last Team Challenge Group Run before our Half Marathon! This was a very...different...run. I was trying out my new compression sleeves from Bioskin. I also tried out EnergyBits for the first time. So on the drive down I was swallowing all of these EnergyBits (a serving is 30 tablets) and I needed a lot of water to do that. So I had to pee SO BAD by the time I got there. We were running in a State Park where there is a museum at the visitor center. Unfortunately, we were starting our run before they opened so there were no bathrooms available. The group told me I wasn't a runner unless I peed in a bush. So I peed in a bush. The bush scratched my leg up with prickers. Blood before I even started running! Once I got running my legs were so sore from P90X3 the night before. I was really regretting doing it when my legs felt like I had already run 10 miles after only 2. I chugged along running with different people, stopping when I needed to stretch out my hamstrings. It was supposed to be a little over 10.5 miles but I cheated and only ran 8.67. Which I know is still a lot! I would have never thought I could run that ran a few months ago. Even one month ago! So the fact that I just said I only ran 8.67 miles is crazy. This was a hard one, but it's in the books. On to the taper!
We got our singlets and t-shirts and are ready for race day! Inflamed and Untamed is the funniest thing I have ever seen btw.
Sunday: Rest Day!

Hi, I'm Jessie!
I live in NH with my husband and our pups. My favorite things are coaching Girls on the Run, eating good food that I didn't have to cook, helping other people work on their health, volunteering for and running races, watching tv, doing yoga, and spending too much time on social media. #Balance
